About the Superintendent
Ms. Monson has worked in education for over 22 years and has served as a teacher; Early Reading First Coach/Curriculum Coordinator; Elementary, Middle School, and Community Day School Principal; and Cafeteria Administrator. Prior to her employment with the McCabe Union Elementary School District , she worked as a Director of Special Education with the San Pasqual Valley Unified School District. Ms. Monson began her new roll as Superintendent with the McCabe Union Elementary School District on June 12, 2023 stating, "I am proud and honored to have been selected as the McCabe Union Elementary School District Superintendent. Through open and honest collaboration with all educational partners, I am committed to educating the whole child, beginning with social-emotional learning that fosters the foundation for an enjoyable and rigorous academic learning environment. Together, we will create an innovative atmosphere where students feel safe and engaged and grow to become accomplished citizens in our community.”
