McCabe UESD - Maintenance and Operations

Mr. Nielsen, Maintenance & Operations Manager, began his employment with the McCabe District in January 2026. Mr. Nielsen brings a robust, successful background in Maintenance, Operations, and Transporation.

While employed in the Heber and Calexico school districts, he served as Maintenance, Operations, and Transportation Manager, leading complex operations and earning a reputation for excellence, reliability, and results. He is also a former recipient of the Imperial County Office of Education Above and Beyond Award, recognizing his outstanding leadership and service.

Prior to his work in education, Mr. Nielsen served 20 years in the U.S. Navy, where he held both Safety and Health Manager and Construction Operations Manager positions. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety and Health and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in the same field.
