8th Grade Parent Email with Promotion Ceremony Information

Good Afternoon, 8th Grade Families!

We are proud to announce McCabe's 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony for the 2019-2020 school year is now available in digital format to view and download on our website ( in various locations:

  • Under the “Grade Levels” tab - click on 8th grade 
  • Under the “Quick Links” tab on the right-hand side of the homepage

This is an interactive version which allows you to watch from start to finish by clicking through each page.  You are also able to view the ceremony in an A la carte fashion through the slide catalog on the lower left-hand corner of the screen.  

We recommend sharing with family and friends via a Zoom style meeting to celebrate your graduates.  

The 8th grade photo montage will be released on Thursday, June 4th after 12:00 PM in this same format.


WHEN: To reduce traffic, which allows us to be mindful of our safety procedures and precautions, we will split the Grad Bag pickup into four separate times.  Please see below for your designated date and time:

WHERE: Corfman car line, enter through driveway 'D'


  • Remain in vehicle at all times
  • Have protective face covering on at all times
  • Have 8th grader sitting on the passenger side of the car
  • Obey all traffic laws
  • Stop at the designated area
  • Receive Grad Bag from staff
  • If returning items, please have any school property (textbooks, library books, sports uniform, band uniform, etc.) in a bag clearly labeled with the student name.

We appreciate your understanding as we take additional measures.   The health and safety of our staff and community continues to be our highest priority.  Please be advised that due to no one exiting the vehicle, there will be no photo opportunities on campus.

 Please be assured that our staff will follow all regulations and guidance regarding: 

  • Physical distancing and protective equipment with face coverings and disposable gloves 
  • Sanitation and disinfection of common and high-traffic areas 
  • Monitoring workforce for indicative symptoms
